PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE FOR SAUNA ROOM ONLY

PLEASE NOTE: CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE:

YEARLY FOR COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS; AND

EVERY 2 TO 3 YEARS FOR DOMESTIC APPLICATIONS

GENERAL MAINTENANCE

ELECTRICAL by qualified and licensed personnel

• Inspect control panel and wiring and tighten all connections on the contactor and all other parts where cables are terminated.
• Inspect thermostat settings.
• Test load and note reading to correspond with load of equipment

• Inspect the wiring to the heater and underneath the heater.
• Remove sauna rocks for washing and return to the heater.
• Always make sure that the heater is full of rocks. The rocks must always cover the elements.

• COVERING THE SAUNA HEATER CAUSES A FIRE RISK!
• AN INADEQUATELY FILLED ROCK CONTAINER CAUSES A FIRE RISK!
• ONLY USE A LADLE TO SPLASH WATER OVER THE VOLCANIC ROCKS!

FILTRATION:

NO. 1 FILTER - DIRT - Water passes through this filter first from supply (1 micron).

NO. 2 FILTER - ANTI SCALE CHEMICAL - And then through this second filter (closer to the steam generator) before entering the steam generator chamber.

Replace cartridge filters. (This may be done on a more regular or lesser basis depending on usage and condition of the water supply. Eg, the dirt filter cartridge may be observed wherein the dirt builds up from the centre of the cartridge then outwards to the outer edge of the cartridge).

When changing filters use Vaseline on O Ring.

STEAM GENERATOR

SWITCH OFF THE STEAM GENERATOR AT THE MAIN SWITCH BOARD BEFORE DRAINING THE MACHINE!

Open the stainless steel inspection plate inside the steam generator and inspect and clean the following:

• S/steel water level control switch;
• Level control switch;
• Elements;
• Internal steam separation chamber;
• Internal stainless steel boiler compartment;
• Pressure relief valve; water control float valve and elements;
• All internal workings of the steam generator.

EVERY 6 TO 12 MONTHS

EVERY 1 TO 3 YEARS

DE-SCALE STEAM GENERATOR WITH FOOD GRADE CITRIC ACID

At the end of the days operation insert 3 to 5 teaspoons of citric acid into the herbal insertion then drain and flush the machine before use.

• DO NOT ADD ANY CHEMICALS TO THE STEAM GENERATOR TO SOFTEN THE WATER OR REMOVE IMPURITIES. SAUNAIR AND ITS TEAM OF ENGINEERS HAVE DEVELOPED FILTRATION CAPABLE OF REMOVING IMPURITIES FROM THE WATER AND PREVENTING THE BUILD UP OF SCALE.
• ONLY CITRIC ACID MONOHYDRATE (FOOD GRADE) MAY BE USED TO DE-SCALE THE INTERNAL STAINLESS STEEL CHAMBER OF THE STEAM GENERATOR.
